About Hotel San Giorgio

Abright reception welcomes our guests and is connected directly with a comfortable lounge where sunlight streams through wide windows. Balconies and terraces enjoy scenic views of Maronti beach, the most beautyful of Ischia. The terrace restaurant overlooks the pine grove, through which our guests can get a glimpse of the crystal clear water. The Hotel San Giorgio Terme is at elevation 28 m above sea level and its straight-line distance from the beach is only 100 m. The hotel features 80 comfortable bedrooms and can accommodate up to 150 guests. The hotel is fully equipped with all modern comforts, has an in-house thermal SPA offering mud therapy, massages and inhalation, an outdoor thermal pool and a brand new wellness area included in the price. Internet is free in charge.

Pool

The thermal water pool, equipped with two powerful water jets, overlooks the sea. The water is kept at a constant temperature of 33° C by adding spring thermal water at about 80° C every day. In order to benefit the most from a thermal bath you have to soak in the pool and move very slowly. This will relieve aching muscles and joints and restore psycho-physical wellness. Around the swimming pool you find the solarium overlooking Maronti beach.
Since 2010 the new indoor thermal area with swimmingpool with hydromassages and showers, sauna, Turkish bath and emotional thermal showers has been opened. The acces is free of charge for all guests.

Beach

You arrive to the private beach through a 450 mt of way and a difference in altitude of 30 metres, to walk on foot. At the hotel exit, a ramp leads to the piazzetta, from here it's easy to find stairs to the beach. About 150 metres towards Sant'Angelo, the arrival. The area is for guests and equipped with beach-imbrellas and sunbeds with a large grains of volcanic sand. Floor rich in thermal spirngs.

Rooms

Standard rooms,furnished in sober Mediterranean style with colours inspired by the sea and the nature. Most of the rooms have a balcony and enjoy the view of the green hills unfolding behind the hotel. All of them have bathroom or shower en-suite and amenities include hair dryer, direct-dial telephone, television, SAT-TV, minibar and air conditioning.
If you wish to enjoy the marvellous panorama of Maronti beach also from your room, you can book one of our seaview rooms.Many of these rooms have a balcony or terrace, and some of them offer a view of both the sea and the swimming pool. They are equipped with every comfort such as bathroom or shower en-suite, and amenities include hair dryer, direct-dial telephone, television, SAT-TV, minibar and air conditioning. There are alsoStandard rooms and Seaview single rooms.

Cuisine

During the warm seasons, the generous breakfast buffet is served on the restaurant terrace, nearby the outdoor thermal pool, which offers a stunning view of Maronti bay. At lunch and dinner, the menu suggested by the Chef is complemented by a rich buffet choice of starters and vegetables. Products are part of the Neapolitan culinary tradition, such as tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and potatoes. Thanks to this “zero footprint” sustainable approach, our guests have the opportunity to enjoy the true taste of local cuisine, and especially the products of Ischia’s countryside. The Maronti area is particularly well known for the intense taste of its products,e nhanced by the nature of the soil and a slow ripening in the sun.

Spa

The use of thermal water in medicine goes back to very ancient times and it is still regarded as very effective, as shown by clinical investigations and trials. The healing properties of Ischia’s thermal waters have been recognized and certified by the Health Ministry. The way the water properties develop is very fascinating indeed: the water originates from underground natural springs and when it reaches the surface it is enriched by minerals dissolved from the rocks, a natural product whose biological purity and unparalleled virtues are well retained and used for treatment. Services include bath and mud therapy, a range of massages for both arthrosis and arthritis, functional therapy for bone and joint/muscle as well as tendon injuries. Inhalation is indicated for treatment of several respiratory conditions including rhinitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, sinusitis and bronchitis. The water has healing properties on a number of skin problems and is helpful also for beauty treatments.
