Description
The church of Our Lady of Montevergine dates back to 1684. In the eighteenth century, for several years, was guarded by a hermit. The church today is venerated very much, especially in pilgrimages that take place on 8 September, feast of the birth of the Virgin Mary. On the altar there is a painting of the Madonna di Montevergine with the saints: Antonio from Padua and San Gennaro.
